How Can I Help?

Feed a Big Cat for a Day

Several of the big cats at Tiger Haven live in prides or family groups. You may choose to adopt an entire pride of lions or family of tigers. Our lion prides are as small as two lions, or as large as five in a group. The tiger families range from two to seven animals. There are two tiger families consisting of a mother, father, and their cubs. One of these two families includes an aunt. All of these adults are sharing in rearing the babies (which is normal in lion prides, but not with tigers). Leopard and cougar families are also available for adoption. Adoptive parents will receive a photo of the entire family and the story of how and why they are together.

Every Cat at Tiger Haven is prepared a diet consisting of 75% beef and 25% chicken leg quarters, plus vitamin supplements . Diets are prepared daily to meet each cats nutritional needs; some cats require small bites, while others enjoy chewing on a large slab of beef. A few of the cats require their chicken legs to be chopped up, and other cats require specialty diets for certain health reasons. On the average, every cat receives 15 to 20 pounds per day.

How you can help: For a $10 donation, you can cover the cost of feeding a big cat for one day. Choose a cat that you would like to feed and you will receive an emailed certificate with your name and a photo of the great cat that you have chosen to support.
